Masking Off-Notes in Functional Beverages

81% of consumers now demand scientific validation from their beverages.

That number is changing the whole industry. It’s pushing manufacturers to increase active ingredient dosages, chasing the clinical efficacy people expect. But higher dosages mean stronger off-notes. Creatine gets more bitter and chalky. Probiotics get more fermented and starchy. The exact ingredients driving category growth are also the ones fighting your flavor profile.

That’s the problem we brought two applications to solve at Booth #4518.

Cherry Grapefruit Sparkling Water (Clarity Collection)
Creatine monohydrate at 5% dosage. The tart acidity of grapefruit bridges and neutralizes creatine’s chalky, metallic edge, while cherry’s deep red warmth anchors the volatile citrus chemistry. Tastes intentional, not corrected.

Lavender Soursop Still Water (Gut Health Collection)
Probiotic masking through aromatic distraction. Linalool, the same terpene behind lavender’s calming signature, redirects attention from fermented off-notes and softens the starchy mouthfeel of high-dose prebiotics. Floral and tropical, nothing medicinal about it.

And because not everything on the table needs to be functional, we’re also bringing Dubai Chocolate & Pistachio Cannoli. Purely for the joy of it.

All three are on the table, July 13-15, McCormick Place, Chicago.

If you’re attending IFT FIRST, we’d love to see you at Booth #4518.
