We recently pulled Guilherme Bissoli, our new Business Development Manager, into the lab for his official Flavor Day, led by our lead flavorist, Anishka Grover.
But this isn’t just for new hires. We host these sessions for our partners and clients, too.
It goes way beyond tasting sugar water. We go deep.
We break down the anatomy of a flavor, distinguishing the solvents from the aromatic “heart”, and walk through the heavy regulatory landscape, from FDA 21 CFR rules to the specific requirements for USDA Organic certification.
Then during the sensory test, participants use our Sens’Aroma Kit to distinguish between “green” unripe notes and “jammy” cooked notes, before finally uncovering the “mystery flavor” during a blind test.
