Innovation on the Road: A November of Sensory Science

There is a difference between a trade show visit and a trade show impact.

Throughout November, the Aromatech USA team traveled to both the Chicago Section IFT and the Longhorn Section IFT in Texas with a single goal: to demonstrate how flavor science solves formulation challenges.

Chicago: Function Meets Flavor

On November 5th, we didn’t just attend but we educated. Co-hosting the “Taste & Purpose” technical session, we explored the critical balance between functional benefits and sensory appeal. Our Blood Orange Pomegranate Lemonade prototype served as the edible proof of our thesis, that hydration and function don’t have to come at the cost of taste.

Note: The full insights from this presentation are currently being compiled into a fully accessible resource, coming soon.

Texas: tackling the “Real” Problems

On November 20th, the focus at the Longhorn Section IFT turned to the versatility of application. Showcasing contrasting profiles, a spicy Pineapple Chili and a comforting Cannoli Custard, we engaged developers on the “unsexy” but vital realities of food science: heat stability, off-note masking, and managing cost pressures.

November reminded us that whether in a lecture hall in Chicago or a booth in Texas, the industry is hungry for partners who understand the science as well as the art of flavor.
